Supported Dreambox Models

This guide works for all popular Dreambox models running Enigma2:

DM920
UHD
DM820

Prerequisites

What You Need

  • Dreambox receiver with Enigma2 image installed
  • Internet connection (Ethernet preferred)
  • CCcam server credentials (C-Line or F-Line)
  • FTP client (like FileZilla) for file transfer

Step 1: Choose Your Enigma2 Image

Before installing CCcam, ensure you have a compatible Enigma2 image:

Recommended: OpenATV

Most popular and stable image with excellent CCcam support. Regular updates and large community.

Alternative: OpenBH (Black Hole)

Step 2: Install CCcam Plugin

Via Dreambox Menu
  1. 1. Press MENU on your remote
  2. 2. Go to Setup → Software Management → Install Local Extension
  3. 3. Wait for the list to load
  4. 4. Find and select CCcam (usually shows as "CCcam 2.3.0" or similar)
  5. 5. Press OK to install
  6. 6. Wait for installation to complete (may take 2-3 minutes)
  7. 7. Restart your Dreambox when prompted

Common Installation Issues

If CCcam doesn't appear in the extensions list, your image may not be compatible. Try updating your image first or switch to OpenATV.

Forum Tip: 70% of "CCcam not working" posts are due to outdated or incompatible images.

Step 3: Configure CCcam

Method 1: Via Dreambox Interface (Recommended for Beginners)

Dreambox Configuration
  1. 1. Press MENU
  2. 2. Go to CCcam Info → CCcam Config Switch
  3. 3. Set CCcam Config Switch to ON
  4. 4. Go to CCcam Info → CCcam.cfg Editor
  5. 5. Select Add C-Line
  6. 6. Enter your server details (see below)
  7. 7. Save and restart CCcam

What to Enter for Server Details

You'll need a C-Line from your CCcam provider. It looks like this:

Example C-Line:
C: server.cccam-provider.com 12000 username password

C-Line Breakdown:

  • C: Protocol identifier
  • server.cccam-provider.com - Server hostname/IP
  • 12000 - Port number
  • username - Your username
  • password - Your password

  2. Navigate to /etc folder
  3. Create or edit CCcam.cfg file
  4. Add your C-Line on a new line
  5. Save and restart CCcam

Step 4: Test Your CCcam Connection

Testing Connection
  1. 1. Press MENU
  2. 2. Go to CCcam Info → CCcam Info
  3. 3. Check if your server appears in the "Active Servers" list
  4. 4. Look for "Connected" status
  5. 5. Try watching an encrypted channel
  6. 6. Check ECM time (should be under 1000ms for good connection)
